The crown upon Buddhas head represents Buddhas triumphant return to earth from heaven. The mudra he shows here is the shuni mudra and is the union of fire (thumb) and space (middle finger). It helps promote patience, discipline and purification that generates a feeling of stability. The bell in his left hand is a Buddhist ritualistic item that represents Buddhas voice, compassion and wisdom. Its purpose is to signal moments of mindfulness and awaken moments of clarity.
About Mudras:
Mudras are specific representative body positions, hand and/or finger gestures sometimes referred to as “seals” or “marks” and are highly symbolic.
