Panchmukhi Hanuman is a very powerful form of the Hindu god Hanuman. He symbolizes complete protection, strength and the five directions, North, South, East, West and upwards. The five forms from left to right are as follows:
Varahara (Boar)
Varahara represents “north” and symbolizes prosperity and stability.
Garuda (Half Man / Half Bird)
Garuda represents “west” and symbolizes strength, speed and removal of obstacles.
Hanuman (Monkey)
Hanuman represents “East” and symbolizes purity, loyalty and courage.
Narasimha (Lion)
Narasimha represents “south” and symbolizes fearlessness and protection from evil.
Hayagriva (Horse)
